Privacy notice

Last updated: 14 October 2026.

Website operator details: [REPLACE WITH DATA CONTROLLER'S REAL LEGAL NAME BEFORE PUBLICATION]. You can contact us securely using the privacy request form. The site operator must verify this identification and the notice before public rollout.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect your name, email, main fitness goal, device category, optional training type and whether you expect to bring a training bud. We also maintain an individual referral code, the referring code if supplied, timestamps, and the status of beta invitations, including whether you opened the invite landing page or clicked through.

Why we use it

We use these details to administer SPUD early access, invite people in manageable groups, assess waitlist and referral performance and respond to privacy requests. We do not sell your waitlist information. This waitlist is separate from the main SPUD app and its workout records. We do not request medical or fitness-health records on this website.

Lawful basis

Our intended basis for delivering requested beta-access communications is your request and agreement to receive them (consent). We use necessary service-security controls to protect the waitlist and may rely on our legitimate interest in preventing abuse. Please contact us if you want to withdraw from the waitlist.

Service providers and international handling

We use Cloudflare to host the website and store waitlist records, and Resend to send email. Those providers may process data outside the UK; applicable safeguards depend on their contracts and services. Check each provider’s current privacy terms for details. We do not publish your email address or training goal.

Retention

Waitlist records are kept while we run beta recruitment and are reviewed for deletion when they are no longer needed. We remove records following verified deletion requests unless a legitimate obligation requires limited retention. Request records are retained only as necessary to demonstrate how the request was handled. We do not claim an automatic retention purge is already in place.

Your choices and rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your waitlist information, or ask a privacy question. We verify the email address before staff review. Depending on the circumstances, you may also have the right to restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

Cookies and security

The public beta form does not use advertising cookies. The admin interface uses session storage for its access token in an administrator's own browser tab. We apply bot-abuse protection and limited request logging for security; request-limit keys are pseudonymised rather than storing raw IP addresses in the waitlist database.
